Dosa batter : Raw rice -1 cup, Rice flakes -1/2 cup, fenugreek seeds -1 tsp, blackgram dhal -1 Tbl.sp, Thuar dhal -1 Tbl.sp, Rawa -1 Tbl.sp,salt, sugar, oil
chutney : Red chillies, garlic, Roasted bengal gram dhal, salt, tamarind, oil, mustard, Asafoetida.
madala : Boiled and mashed potatoes -250 gms, 2 onions sliced, salt, oil, mustard, black gram dhal, bengal gram dhal, ground paste of garlic and red chillies.

    Excellent recipe and very well explained Madam!

    Mysore Masala dosa is one of my all time favourite Dosas! My first time ever eating Mysore Masala dosa was at a hotel in Matunga Bombay [I think it was called Ramakrishna mess] sometime during early 80s. Prior to that I used to love Ghee Masala dosa but after eating my first ever Mysore Masala dosa I became a fan and regularly used to have it in any hotel which served it. Sadly not many hotels make an authentic Mysore Masala dosa and they add Kothamali Chutney or kara chutney to the dosa and serve it as Mysore Masala dosa. At home most of us have made the occassional dosa and had it with Idli Molaga podi or sambhar chutney but even the most seasoned veteran of a home cook will think twice before venturing into making Mysore Masala dosa at home!

    I have made dosa many times at home but never dared attempt making Mysore Masala and after watching this video am planning to take a bold step and try making it!

    Mam, when I was studying 5th std u made this dosai in sun tv , mom follows ur method for Mysore masala dosai till date.. I’m following the same method now im using ur books for reference… I’m 30yrs now… Ur books are my text books….

    Supurb show. you are so fast in cooking and very fast and enthusiastic in explaining the procedure and many may find it difficult to follow the explanation .I request you to give the explanation at lower pace. I take the liberty of giving this suggestion because I like you so much.
