Story so far in the 3TC Solidarity Cup:

Kingfishers: 56 for 2 after 6 overs

Eagles: 66 for 1 after 6 overs

Eagles end on 66 for 1.Markram starring with the bat with a quickfire 47 off 23 balls. ABD scratched around for a 7 ball 11. But in the second part of the innings both these batters will resume their knocks.Up next, Kites will be batting their first half of 6 overs.

Nine runs come from the 4th over which has taken the score to 32 for 1 after 4 overs.

Tabraiz Shamsi bowls a pretty decent over and concedes only 7 in his first over.. Eagles are 23 for 1 after three overs. In fact, it could have been a better over had Klaasen not dropped ABD off the last ball of the over.

Stuurman clean bowls Rassie van der Dussen with a fuller ball.Eagles are 16 for 1 after 2 overs. And here comes Ab de Villiers!

Eagles off to a sedate start.Markram and van der Dussen are opening the innings.

Back after a quick break, and when we do, it’s Eagles’ time to bat. KF will bowl.

Malan follows Hendricks back in the hut, tries to go big again but picks out Miller in the deep perfectly. Both openers back in the hut, but he’s made a solid 31 off 16and done his job pretty well. Nortje gives only five off the over and KF are 56/2 at the end of first part of their innings.

Malan goes big again and fetches his second six of this game. He’s on 30 off 11 now, and Reeza joins the party after a sedate run-a-ball 13. One bounce and a four to him. But that won’t last long as he becomes the victim of Temba Bavuma’s solid, sharp fielding effort. Top work from the keeper too. Tries to steal a non existent second, but is found short. Faf du Plessis is the new batsman in. KF 51/1 after 5 overs.

Malan turns it up a a few notches. A couple of boundaries followed by a huge six straight over the bowler’s head. Kingfishers 30-0 after 3 overs.

R Hendricks and Malan get Kingfishers off the mark. The scores after the first over – Kingfishers 7/0

Alright then, done with the national anthem. All set for the game to begin. But before that, an important gesture
